Layout and contraction


Based on the traction teste, the team got the shear stress of material, according the theory of Von Mises- Hencky. With thate, the team got the rivet with a total área of 267.467 mm2. The diamter of this rivet is 18.45 milimeter
Based on established limits by SENAI CIMATEC, figure 1, the team was concluded that one rivet pass the limits. Therewith, decided to use 5 rivets, eatch with 8.25 milimeter of diameter. The new layout is showed in figure 2.

 The team knew the aluminium contract after the foundry. Because this, based on figure 3, was calculated your contraction. The contraction will be taken into account are solidification and solid. The liquidate was disregarded because of the use of riser.

The aluminium will be contract 12.2%. The team chose to do in the molde, holes with a drill bit of 9 milimeter because of the contraction.
